Mia could have had a beautiful life. She had a scholarship to Juilliard and a future as a concert pianist ahead of her. Storn is a Satyr—one of the Monstrum Kindred. Though he lives in a whole different universe, he begins to Dream Share with Mia. He longs to save her from her cruel husband, so when a rip opens in the fabric of space-time which leads from his universe into hers, he volunteers to go.

But there is trouble brewing.more rips are opening in the fabric of space-time and whole universes are being overrun by the Darklings—embodiments of pure evil that strip their victims to the bone and fill whole solar systems with their malice.
