Messo alle strette dall'ex moglie, a cui da troppo tempo non versa gli alimenti, Arkin decide di riprendere l'attività che pensava aver abbandonato, proprio ora che ha trovato un posto di lavoro. Ed è proprio il suo nuovo datore di lavoro che intende derubare con un piano all'apparenza semplicissimo: penetrare nell'abitazione di notte, mentre tutti dormono, aprire la cassaforte ed il gioco è fatto. Non sa che si appresta a diventare la pedina di un gioco ben diverso, quello ideato da un sadico maniaco che tiene in ostaggio gli abitanti della casa. Una serie di trappole, trabocchetti e torture, saranno il percorso che dovrà affrontare se vuole salvare se stesso ed aiutare la sfortunata famiglia.
